LTCU - Monday

I'm not sure what ranks in your top 5 life-changing moments, but yesterday's experience at Columbine HS was one of those for me!
Our focus yesterday was PRAY. We spent the day praying, and brainstorming how intercessory prayer can become a more vital part of our own personal lives and as we Lead THE Cause in our circles of influence. The we had the chance to GO to Columbine HS, the scene of the 1999 shooting tragedy that left 12 students & 1 teacher dead. We prayer walked around the school, we walked the halls, wrote letters to God while in the cafeteria, and, we sang and worshiped God on campus.
The next experience was - oh my goodness WOW! After the memorial had been built, a man felt led by the Lord to also place 13 large crosses at the top of the hill that overlooks the memorial. A few years later, the city made him take them down because they were "religious." Months after that, this man read about the ministry of Dare 2 Share, and dropped off one of those crosses - Greg never met the man. But yesterday, we took that cross back up! It was an amazing scene (see pics below) & experience as we carried that cross together up that hill, taking turns holding it. After we once again placed it at the top of the hill, then each of the 269 of us here nailed our personal commitments to it - the hairs on my arms are standing on end again as I write this!!!!!!
Then we were asked by Greg to give one word to describe what we've experienced:
- Urgency
- Sobering
- Hope
- Surreal
- Etc...
Oh Lord, as we learn today to LIVE Your Cause, please help us to see people as YOU see them and help us to want them to have the Jesus we have!~
Changed,
mrbill
