Christmas Countdown - Days 22-23

CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN - DAY 22:
WHO IS THIS BABY?
In chemistry, He turned water to wine.
In biology, He was born without the normal conception.
In physics, He disapproved the law of gravity when He ascended into heaven.
In economics, He disapproved the law of diminishing return by feeding 5,000 men with two fishes and 5 loaves of bread.
In medicine, He cured the sick and the blind without administering a single dose of drugs.
In history, He is the beginning and the end.
In government, He said that he shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Prince of Peace.
In religion, He said no one comes to the Father except through him;
So. Who is He? He is Jesus! The greatest man in history.

Jesus had no servants, yet they called Him Master.
He had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher.
He had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer.
He had no army, yet kings feared Him.
He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world.
He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him.
He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today!

CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN - DAY 23: Who is this baby born in Bethlehem? Isaiah 53:5 says,
"But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him and by his wounds we are healed.

FIRST BLOG.....like ever......2009 Christmas Countdown days 1-20

CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN - DAY 1: Hark the herald angels sing, "Glory to the newborn King! Peace on earth and mercy mild, God and sinners reconciled" - This is the GREAT NEWS of Christmas = that we can be made right with God thru Jesus! Lets share it with someone today!
CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN - DAY 2: "For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost" (Luke 19:10). There are plenty good and worthy causes in our world today, but the
cause that consumed Jesus is the ultimate cause! His cause is THE
Cause... reachin...g those who don't know Him and helping others do the same! You in?
http://www.dare2share.org/thecause/
CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN - DAY 3: She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." - Matthew 1:21. Christmas celebration marks the birth of our hope - that we are offered the GIFT of forgiveness of our sins instead of punishment for them! I pray & hope y...ou have received this FREE GIFT in Christ!
CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN - DAY 4: But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High...For all you moms out there who believe you have an except...ional son (and you do) - Mary's son was truly "on ordinary baby" - from the get go He was destined to be our Lord! Is He your Lord today?
CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN - DAY 5: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us..." - John 1:1, 14. Jesus is "the Word" so read it again replacing the Word with Jesus! Yep - now that's Christmas!
CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN - DAY 6: "Joy to the World , the Lord is come! Let earth receive her King; Let every heart prepare Him room..." - Make room in your heart for Jesus by trusting in what HE did for you :)
CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN - DAY 7: Concerning the birth of Jesus, "While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn." - Luke 2:6-7. Lord may we never be so consumed with... all the issues in life that we miss the very GIVER of Life!
CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN - DAY 8: Modern Day Holiday Greeting Card:

Nahhhhhh........ Have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! JESUS came to save His people from their sins! Go ahead, tell others this GREAT NEWS today!
CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN - DAY 9: A woman was out Christmas shopping with her two children.
After two hours of looking at row after row of toys and hearing them ask for everything they saw on those many shelves, she was feeling the overwhelming pressure that so many of us feel during the holiday season, and was relieved when she made it to the elevator. When the elevator doors opened, there was already a crowd in the car.
Determined, she pushed her way into the car dragging her kids and packages. When the doors closed she couldn't take it anymore and stated,... See More
"Whoever started this whole Christmas thing should be found, strung up,and shot."
From the back of the elevator everyone heard a quiet calm voice respond, "Don't worry, we already crucified him."
For the rest of the trip down, the elevator was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop.
Don't forget this year to keep THE ONE who started this whole Christmas thing in your every thought, word, deed, and purchase. If we all did it, just think of how different this whole world would be…pass it on!
Jesus is the Reason for the Season! Have a blessed Christmas and a Joyful New Year
CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN - DAY 10: "But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord." - Luke 2:10-11. We naturally fear death, but remember that God offers Jesus to SAVE US from ...eternal death! All we must do is BELIEVE & RECEIVE! Have you?
CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN - DAY 11: (from Men's Fraternity this am). Ever heard "Jesus is the Reason for the Season?" - Certainly HE IS what Christmas is all about but could it be WE are the reason??? Isaiah 9:6, "Unto US a child is born..", Luke 2:11, "...a Savior has been born to YOU..." The birth fo Jesus is God's gift t...o once again show us we DESPERATELY NEED HIM!
CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN - DAY 12-13: "Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about." So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child..." ...- Luke 2:15-17. COME & SEE, GO & TELL was the reaction of the shepherds. Oh that we would do the same! Attend a Christmas service today, enter that relationsghip with Jesus and then tell someone else!
CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN - DAY 14: "A cheerful heart is good medicine...." - Proverbs 17:22. So today, I share quotes from one of my favorite Christmas movies - ELF!

Santa: Some people don't believe in Santa.
Buddy; Who do they think puts all the toys under the tree
Santa: There's a rumor that parents do.
Buddy: That's ridiculous! Parents couldn't deliver all these toys in one night. Who do they think eats all the cookies, the parents?!

No singing at the north pole!

Charlotte Dennin wants a Tiffany engagement ring and for her boyfriend to stop dragging his feet in committal.
CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN - DAY 15: "A cheerful heart is good medicine...." - Proverbs 17:22. So today, I share a song my son sang for his winter concert....
The restroom door said Gentlemen
So I just walked inside
I took two steps and realized... See More
I'd been taken for a ride
I heard high voices turned and found
The place was occupied
By two nuns, three old ladies, and a nurse
What could be worse?
Than two nuns, three old ladies and a nurse.

The restroom door said Gentlemen
It must have been a gag
As soon as I walked in there I ran into some old hag
She sprayed me with a can of mace
And snapped me with her bag.
I could tell this just wouldn't be my day
What can I say?
It just wasn't turning out to be my day.

The restroom door said Gentlemen
And I would like to find
The crummy little creep who had the nerve to switch the sign
Cause I've got two black eyes
And one high heel up my behind
Now I can't sit with comfort and joy
Boy, oh, boy
No, I'll never sit with comfort and joy.
CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN - DAY 16: "How will this be," Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?"
